Big Barnes Fair on Barnes green is a great event, a long day as we need to be there 5am to secure our pitch and put up our gazebo as they pack us in as tight as a Bedouin camp, the people next door were late starters and had to do without cover as it just would not fit!!we finally left the site at 7pm tired but happy. It is hugely busy and people just keep coming from first thing to the last moment...we love it , we have our regulars now and I took a big quantity of Franglais stock as I had done Bradford on Avon Talent For Textiles the day before with lovely Elizabeth Baer.. thank you Buff and Derek for your wonderful hospitality and great fun we had round your kitchen table.
I spent the rest of the weekend with my dear friend Sandra who I do Barnes with each year, we so enjoy the whole weekend. Do you like my lovely little French flags I bought from the stall next door, they are quite old ,very lucky find, no mistaking where most of my stock is sourced.
