Honfleur The Old Harbour |
Lizzie and I had taken the overnight ferry to Caen and drove off into the early morning sunshine, full of anticipation for the two weeks ahead.
We took the coastal road all along the lovely old resorts, one being Deauville playground to the English in the 1920's and still popular with the Parisians.
There is some very quirky seaside architecture from the 1900's and a feeling of it all being very smart and a little racy in it's day ...people letting their hair down on holiday.
It is still smart and all those little towns so intersting.
Honfleur was our destination for Breakfast on the quay of the historic old harbour.
We had both been there in the past and keen to re knew our aquaintance.
It was lovely and being off season not full of tourists.
