Shed rummaging again!

A few years ago I went with my friend Caroline to a house on Dartmoor, it was quite large and in an amazing wooded setting.
We were helping the sister of the lady who had lived there sort out the loft which was full of fabrics, boxes and boxes from Liberties of London. She had been an avid dressmaker and clearly had good taste and a liking for Vogue.

We bought quite a large amount of wonderful tweed and somehow I could never part with this one it was full of fun and I thought I may make something from it one day.
It has always been wrong for backing my throws so has sat on the top shelf.
I have had a huge rummage today with Chagford Rag Market in mind which is next Saturday Oct 3rd
When I actually looked at this today I realised the pieces went together to make a coat! WE are talking 1960's/70's as the boxes were dated with postmarks.

It is a bit Issey M I think, rather a Kimono shape, I now have to decide what to do with it
any ideas girls ?
I still have a couple of quite large pieces left

  1. Polka dot heaven. Wouldn't it make just the most lovely cape?

  2. Yes possibly but part is already cut and stitched in the coat shape. I think some of the spare bits would make nice bags????
