We are sitting at our stall at the Cornish Showground on Good Friday with the sun streaming through the roof windows, not at all like it was at 6 am this morning when we unloaded in extreme weather conditions lashing freezing rain and wind!!
It is amazing how being this close to the north coast of Cornwall the weather is so changeable, straight off the Atlantic.
Yesterday we travelled down to Wadebridge stopping off at Cowslip Workshops for lunch with Jo who was busy hanging the new Exhibition of Katharine Guerrier’s work with Katharine who had just completed a three day workshop at Cowslip. Do look at the Cowslip web site as there are so many interesting events coming up.
Lizzie and I are down there again 7th and 8th of May with our French textiles under our “Franglais” banner , we love it !
We are staying at the “ Halfway House Inn “ just down the road from the showground and can recommend it. Warm welcome , lovely food in front of the woodburner and big well appointed room in the Motel style. They made us lovely sandwiches and drink which was hung on our door handle for a take away breakfast.
There are very few textiles here, this is our first foray here so it remains to be seen .
I was hoping to do this blog live but there is no signal for my new mobile connection, here in the wilds.
Ruth of “oh so vintage “ just called by to introduce herself lovely to meet Blog and Twitter friends in person.
